Wildflower Show

The Biology department will be hosting the California Native Plant Society's 45th annual wildflower show again this year. The show will be held April 27th from 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM. We will have wildflower displays, lecture series, workshops, native plants on campus tours, music and vendors throughout the day (More details on schedule soon). We are beginning our advertising and we would appreciate it if you let your students, friends and family know about the event. We also have flyers for advertising, so if you have a community location where you may be able to post one for us, please let me know and I will deliver some beautiful color flyers/posters for you to post for us.

The California Native Plant Society folks also extend an invitation for anyone who would like to join their excursions for collecting plants for the wildflower show. This is a great opportunity for building plant identification skills, get out in nature with some experts, building community and visiting some of the local landscape closed to the public and of course enjoy nature! We usually offer this opportunity to our students, but I thought I would also mention it to you all in case you may be interested in joining. I know some of you are gardeners and may want to get some tips from some experts! The botanists will be going out to collect on the Friday prior to the show- April 27th. The times will vary depending on the collection team and location.
