Annual African American Student Conference

The Herlisa Hamp Office of Student Equity and the Umoja Community SUCCESS Program will be hosting West Valley College’s second annual African American Student Conference in Spring 2018.  High school students, staff, faculty, and community members are invited to come and learn about the exciting educational opportunities that West Valley College offers.

This conference will be an interactive experience for high school students where they will participate in a discussion panel with college students, meet college faculty and administration, participate in scholarship and grant workshops, tour the campus, and learn about the necessary steps in preparing for college.

There is going to be an event organized by The Herlisa Hamp Office of Student Equity and the Umoja Community SUCCESS Program, in which they are presenting West Valley College’s second yearly African American Student Conference in the year 2018, in spring. Here high school students, staff members, faculty, and community members are requested to come and learn about the stirring academic prospects that West Valley College proposes. This session will be a communicating familiarity for high school students where they would be able to take part in a discussion panel with other college students, meet college faculty members and administration, join in scholarship and fund workshops, visit the campus, and learn about the essential steps in preparing for their college life. There would be no charges at the time of entry, so feel free to come.
